Isaac is our Blue Front
Amazon Parrot.
The Blue Front Amazon is
one of the most popular of the Amazons. His color can vary from the
Chaco that tends to have more yellow and pastel blue on the head and
more red on the bend of the wing to the more common sub-species that
has primarily a medium blue on the head and much less red on the top
to the wing.
Rick has raised him from a baby of only 6 months old. At that age, he required hand feeding every 2 hours! He was born in 1979 and could live as long as 60 years.
Isaac does not like change or moves and spends the majority of his life in his cage, in which he feels secure.
